Of Vancouver's Many Beaches - Do you have a favourite?

Vancouver is blessed with beaches the way some cities are blessed with cafés, or parks everywhere you turn. Um... Vancouver is blessed with those too! From wide, bustling shorelines to quiet stretches where the city seems to exhale, each beach has its own personality, its own rhythm. This photo was taken at Ambleside Beach, just as the sun was easing its way behind the Gulf Islands. At this hour, the water softens to silver, the sky layers itself in pinks and golds, and even the seawall walkers slow their pace. It’s a beach that feels both expansive and intimate — mountains at your back, ocean ahead, and the gentle reminder that you’re standing at the edge of something vast.

It's a matter of taste, some people live for the sunsets over English Bay, others love the long, contemplative walks at Spanish Banks, or the forest-meets-sea calm of Wreck Beach. Maybe your favourite depends on the season, the company, or the mood you arrive with. That’s the magic of Vancouver’s beaches: they meet you where you are.
